RULES to XVIII IBIZA INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION 2008
H.R.H. Princess Irene of Greece, President of Honour
will take place from 1st to 7th September, 2008, at the Centro Cultural de San Carlos, Ibiza, Spain. participants will present the 1st at 5,00 p.m.
participants all pianists can participate in the competition, without limitations of nacionality or residence, born after the 1st January 1978, inclusive. the young pianists will be the ones born after the 1st January 1992, inclusive
required program
pianists (timming: 45 minutes maximum):- prelude and fugue by johann sebastian bach - one sonata of free election - one work of free election young pianists (timming: 35 minutes maximum): - prelude and fugue or invention to 3 voices or to 2 voices by johann sebastian bach - one sonata or sonatina of free election - one work of free election registration
the participants must sent before the 20th of july 2008:

pianists- first prize 3.500 euros concert at the XIX ibiza international music festival 2010 member of the jury at the XIX ibiza international piano competition 2010 - second prize 1.300 euros - third prize 700 euros young pianists - first prize 700 euros concert at the XIX ibiza international music festival 2010 member of the jury at the XIX ibiza international piano competition 2010 - second prize 300 euros - third prize 200 euros the prizes will be indivisibles. the prize-giving party will happen on 7th of september 2008, at 22'00 hours. all participants will receive a diploma of participation and the won prize, renouncing to the prize in case of no present oneself. accommodation
registration rights: 102 euros includes hotel accommodation with breakfast and supper (from 1st to 7th, both inclusive). registration rights for pianists under 18 years old include one accompanier. other accompaniers (only for the young pianists) will pay the same amount. this amount, in any case will not be refunded, will be paid at:
